An unnamed strategist has left the BBC after an investigation to discover the leak that led to blow-by-blow details of the corporation’s strategic review being splashed across the front page of The Times – it was reported today.
The leak of the review outlined how director general Mark Thompson was planning to cut 6 Music, the Asian Network along with a cull of the BBC website and a host of other service.
In a statement to The Independent the BBC said: “We can confirm than an investigation has been satisfactorily concluded and that an individual has now left the BBC.”
