BBC ‘should keep older women presenters’ says new economics editor

The BBC’s new economics editor Stephanie Flanders has accused her employers of unfairly ditching older female presenters.

She tells today’s Daily Mail that in the US, where she worked for the New York Times, female journalists such the 78-year-old Barbara Walters, get more respect into their later years than in Britain.
