BBC leads on second night of 10pm news face-off

BBC has held on to its lead over ITV in the battle of 10pm news, according to last night’s viewing figures.

The BBC Ten O’Clock News attracted 4.5 million viewers, an average audience share of 23 per cent over 35 minutes last night [15 January].

 ITV’s News at Ten, which relaunched on Monday [14 January] attracted 3.5 million viewers, 17 per cent average audience share over the same period.
