Adam Civico has been appointed new editor of the Shetland Times.
Allmediascotland.com reports that Civico joins the paper in October from the Barnsely Chronicle, where the 33-year-old is assistant editor (digital).

He takes over from Paul Riddell who left the paper after four years as editor.
According to the latest ABC figures the weekly title had an average circulation of 10,943 in the last six months of 2011, down 2.5 per cent year on year.
