More than 2,300 people have joined a Facebook group called “Save the Observer”. It follows news that GMG has contemplated closing the 219-year-old title in order to curb growing losses.
Those joining the group include: Me (I‘ve voiced my views about closing the Observer here) and prominent journalists includding Tim Gopsill, MaryAnn Sieghart, David Parsley and Nick Paton Walsh.
