Computer-hacking cops make Operation Tuleta arrest number 18

By PA Mediapoint

A woman has been arrested as part of an investigation into alleged breaches of privacy, police said.
The 45-year-old was arrested at her home in south-west London at about 9am today on suspicion of conspiracy to commit offences under sections 1 and 3 of the Computer Misuse Act 1990 and sections 1 and 2 of the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000, Scotland Yard said.
The arrest brings to 18 the number of people arrested under Operation Tuleta, a Metropolitan Police investigation into privacy breaches including the alleged hacking of computers and stolen mobile phones.
The operation is being run in tandem with two other investigations:
Operation Weeting, which is looking at alleged phone hacking, and Operation Elveden, an inquiry into claims of corrupt payments to public officials.
The woman is being questioned at a south London police station.
A search has been carried out at her home.
Scotland Yard said the arrest was not directly linked to any news organisation or the activities of journalists.
