Several columnists at the Daily Mail, such as the larger-than-life Peter McKay, Stephen Glover ‒who also writes a media column in The Independent ‒and John McEntee, vowed in September to keep off the booze.
However, just in time for the Christmas party season, I hear that they have all resumed their consumption of alcohol again.
During their “dry” period, the trio permitted themselves a number of “get out of jail” cards so they could enjoy a glass at special events.
While McEntee and McKay seem to have honoured the prohibition period, there are rumours, however, that Glover’s willpower failed the test during weekends at his Oxfordshire home.
