A good friend at the freebie evening paper London Lite gets in touch and sends me this email which she has just received. Wise words, indeed.
Can people please pipe up if they're not totally comfortable with a story they are subbing for the Lite.
Whoever subbed yesterday's page 3 sidebar on Amy Winehouse clearly had no idea what the concept behind it was and totally bodged it as a result, while it's obvious the sub who tackled the Tour de France lead on foreign did not know one end of a peloton from the other.
Nobody minds being asked questions – it just means we end up with what we want in the paper.
