Right, Charlie, could this be an April Fool?

Spare a thought for the Sunday Times political editor David Cracknell and his sidekick Isabel Oakeshott.

At least one paper reviewer on BBC Radio Five Live thought that their “exclusive” page one story, claiming Charles Clarke would run for the Labour leadership, was an April Fool. How on earth could someone make such a mistake?
