In the Times travel section, I spot an article about a Christmas safari in Kenya written by Georgia Beeston, the talented 12-year-old daughter of Richard Beeston, the paper's erudite diplomatic editor.
Georgia's grandfather – also called Richard, by the way – was, in his day, one of the best foreign correspondents at the Daily Telegraph, having served the paper well in the former Soviet Union and later in Washington.
Ink really does seem to run in the Beeston veins.
