Tough times for Bath Chronicle editor Sam Holliday in the town where the Windsor Bridge offices are now too big for his diminished team since the paper was taken from daily to weekly last September.
Unfortunately for Holliday the new office won’t accommodate his desk, which dates from 1930 and measuring 5ft 6in by 2ft 6in. Readers have been invited to bid for it.
Thankfully, the proceeds will not contribute to the Northcliffe cost-cutting plan, but will go to the Children’s Hospice South West.
