Evening Standard car dealership is open for business

By Axegrinder axeblog

Looking through a recent issue of the Evening Standard, I come across a page 3 article that asks: "Why does borough mayor need a 195mph gas guzzler costing £115,000 in 18mph Kensington?"

It refers to Andrew Dalton, the mayor of Chelsea, who owns a Bentley Continental Flying Spur. Alongside is an article suggesting a suitable and cheaper alternative for the mayor – a Lexus RX400h hybrid car, price £36,400.

Coincidentally, this is the same car driven by Evening Standard editor Veronica Wadley's own chauffeur. Funny that.
