Editor faces jail over Mubarak health claims

The Independent reports that Ibrahim Eissa, editor of the independent weekly al-Dustour, has been put on trial in Egypt for reporting that the president Hosni Mubarak was gravely ill.The charges relate to the publication of rumours in August that the president, who is 79, was in poor health or had died.
