Bosses stirred by shake-up at Panorama

By Axegrinder axeblog

The attempts of the BBC’s flagship current affairs show Panorama to broaden its appeal has not gone down well with
traditionalists at the corporation.

Writing in the BBC’s in-house magazine Ariel about Panorama’s exposé on the premium-rate phone-in row, BBC TV news director Gordon Findlay said: “Panorama did a very good job at shaking up the TV quiz industry.”

But the tabloid techniques didn’t go down at all well with Findlay, who adds pointedly: “It’s a shame they felt the need to make their cameras shake too.”
