Associated going all orgasmic over organic

By Axegrinder axeblog

It seems that Associated Newspapers cannot get enough of the new shop which has just opened underneath its HQ on Kensington High Street.

As I’ve pointed out previously, the Evening Standard and the Daily Mailhave given the new Whole Food Market ‒ a food store which sells lots of organic stuff ‒ generous plugs.

Not to be outdone, the Mail on Sunday devoted a double-page colour spread on 10 June to the new shop. It even called in the paper’s royally connected food writer Tom Parker Bowles to give his verdict along with “Rotherham housewife” Julie Critchlow (like she’s ever likely to make the 350-mile round trip to buy some organic asparagus).

She said it was “fantastic”, but a bit expensive, while Parker Bowles concluded: “It is certainly a place where you can find the very best of British.”

I just hope Associated’s staff are going to get a decent discount for all their sterling efforts to get the shop off to a roaring start.
