Are Express paint adverts a whitewash?

By Axegrinder axeblog

Express Dulux Ad

Weird goings-on at the Daily Express, where the Cheltenham and Gloucester appears to be sponsoring its coverage of the Bob Woolmer murder investigation.

Last week, Grey Cardigan commented on the accommodating approach of the Express commercial team, which surrounded a single lovely-looking Woolmer story with a C&G ad.

Then this week, the same ad appeared again surrounding an almost identical looking story (see pictures above).

Axegrinder is not one to indulge in idle conspiracy theories, but perhaps the Cheltenham and Gloucester poisoned Woolmer to collect the life assurance after he defaulted on his mortgage and is now keen to deflect attention from Daily Express stories getting too close to the truth by placing these colourful eye-catching ads.
