George Brock

George Brock is a trustee of the Charitable Journalism Project. He worked at the Yorkshire Evening Press, The Observer and The Times, where he was Managing Editor and Saturday Editor. He has been Professor and Head of Journalism at City, University of London and is the author of Out of Print: Newspapers, Journalism and the Business of News in the Digital Age. He has sat on the boards of the World Editors Forum and International Press Institute. He gave evidence on local journalism in 2022 to the Culture, Media and Sport Select Committee of the House of Commons.
