sales staff at the South Wales Evening Post, who have responded
magnificently to the different set of challenges raised by our new
printing arrangement, will have been surprised to read in last week’s
Press Gazette that the NUJ thinks they are “really struggling to get
the newspaper out”.
They are not. Nobody is working more hours.
Some are working fewer. And our base sale performance in the past three
weeks has been the best for more than 12 months.
