Wave radio surfs for young reporter

By Press Gazette

South coast-based local radio station Wave 105 has created a graduate position for an aspiring young news reporter.

The two-year post will start in August and is for a college leaver who has completed a BJTC journalism course.

As well as practical experience, the position will provide training in broadcast law, writing skills, interview techniques, technology and voice coaching.

News editor Jason Beck said: “Recruiting another journalist will enable us to have a higher profile at events. We want to introduce more local stories and get the team out and about meeting our listeners.”
