By Richard Wilson

The revelation by Reuters correspondent John Rettie that Soviet leader Khruschev had denounced his predecessor Stalin at a secret session of the 20th Congress of the Soviet Communist Party sent shockwaves around the world.

A scoop with truly historic repercussions that would help lead to the Hungary uprising later that year.
