After several senior management posts with ITV, BBC and cable and satellite and a 20-year PR career in broadcasting, Elizabeth Timms is to join Help the Aged as press officer.
Her broadcasting career has provided her with widespread media experience and contacts and also brings knowledge of the difficulties of aging in the workplace.
Timms’ primary responsibilities will include pensions and low incomes, fuel poverty in winter and third-age employment.
She said: “I was delighted to be offered this role with Help the Aged. I want to make a difference and am looking forward to the challenge of making people wake up to the fact that there are terrific benefits to be had in valuing the older generation.”
