Teletext has renewed its contract to buy content from the Press Association, signing a five-year deal with the agency to supply the service with news, sport and listings information.
PA will provide content for all Teletext’s TV services on both terrestrial and digital, as well as for the web and mobile phones. The contract builds on their previous 10-year deal.
Under the old terms, PA supplied and produced all Teletext’s content, until the service began to bring national sports production operations in-house last year. Regional sports pages will continue to be subbed and put out by PA until Teletext takes over production next year.
All other content production will continue to be run by PA.
