The Glasgow-based Sunday Herald is to switch to a compact format from November 20.
The
decision to switch from broadsheet has been taken, according to the
Newsquest paper, following “nine months of steady, year-on-year
circulation rises.”
The new format will feature five regular sections: news, sport, business and recruitment, Seven Days and Magazine.
Sunday
Herald editor Richard Walker said: “I believe that the compact format
will make our award-winning journalism even more accessible to readers.
“We
will continue to produce first-class quality journalism and to build on
our reputation for in-depth news reporting, the best international news
coverage in Scotland, brilliant photography and excellent design.
“The
compact format is becoming increasingly popular with readers and we
believe it will allow us greater flexibility in the way that we present
our news and features.”
