Sunday Herald see’s good increase in sales

By Press Gazette

The Sunday Herald notched up a year-on-year sales increase of 10.9 per cent in Scotland in July – the largest margin of any quality UK newspaper north of the border, writes Hamish Mackay.

Although sales were low because of the holiday period, the Herald managed to sell 5,248 more copies than in July last year, with a total of 54,430.

The average sale for January to June was 59,741.

These are Scottish actively purchased sales, and, in comparison, Scotland on Sunday, which celebrates its 15th birthday this week, was down 1.8 per cent at 64,084.
