Sun vindicated by PCC ruling on Biggs buy-up

The Press Complaints Commission has rejected 19 complaints against The Sun for paying Great Train Robber Ronnie Biggs’ associates in order to bring him back to captivity. The Commission decided that the paper ran the story in the public interest and had to pay in order to get Biggs back to the UK.
