The Cambridgeshire Times produced an eight-page supplement to celebrate the success of its fundraising charity event for the March Air Training Corps.
The paper took advantage of the fact that crowds of people would be at the opening of a £30m rail distribution depot in March and set up a stall to raise the cash.
News editor John Elworthy, who organised the day with colleague Maggie Gibson, said: “It was a great team effort. The supplement looks great and as well as telling the story of the day, recounts March’s railway past and how the new depot came about.”
