TalkSPORT has hired Sky Sports News presenter Kelly Dalglish to co-present a football discussion show.
Dalglish, the daughter of football Kenny Dalglish, will join the station later this month.
The announcement came as talkSPORT sought to boost its "presenter squad" for the forthcoming football season with Terry Christian, former presenter of cult TV programme The Word, also joining the ranks.
Dalglish said: "I know a lot of men think that women know nothing about football. I want to prove them wrong. Trust me when I say I don't need the off-side rule explaining."
Dalglish has been part of the Sky Sports News team since the channel's launch in 1998, where she is an established presenter and fronts the Golden League Athletics and Women's League Cup Final coverage.
She will join talkSPORT's Kick Off programme, a weekly phone-in, on 21 August and will present the show alongside Gabriele Marcotti and Jason Cundy.
Dalglish said: "I want Kick Off to be a show where fans and listeners can not only look back at the weekend's games but also where they can begin to look forward to their side's next fixture."
She becomes talkSPORT's second ever female presenter, following the hiring of "Chessy" to co-present with Ian Collins in May this year.
