The Hinckley Times has hit a record sale of 19,949 – nearly 500 more than its previous best.
Sales of the Trinity Mirrorowned Leicestershire weekly were boosted by a supplement called My First Day at School, which featured new primary school pupils.
Editor Paul Webb said: “Our photographers went out to all the primary schools in our circulation area and pictured more than 1,100 youngsters who started their education this term.
“It is always a superb supplement and always gives us our best sale of the year. Our normal sale is around 18,500 a week and we have been increasing our ABC figures for the past 13 consecutive six-monthly periods.”
