The decision to move Paisley's local radio station, Q96, to Glasgow is likely to increase the number of news journalists working on the station.
Guardian Media Group, which acquired the station in June, received the go-ahead from industry regulator Ofcom to share premises with Real Radio Scotland, in its building in Glasgow, while agreeing to honour the station's local format.
A GMG spokeswoman told Press Gazette: "The team at Q96 isn't that huge at the moment, so the fact that GMG want to continue their commitment to the local news stories and coverage within that area means that there may well be increasing opportunities."
