Former Tomorrow’s World reporter Maggie Philbin is joining BBC Radio Berkshire to co-present its breakfast show from next month.
Philbin, who worked as a reporter and presenter on the science programme for eight years, will join Jim Cathcart on a radio show on 29 April.
Philbin’s arrival coincides with a new programming schedule at the station.
Philbin presented a number of BBC programmes, including the sciencebased Show Me Show, Hospital Watch, The Bodymatters Roadshow, QED, Family Matters and The Doll’s House, a BBC Two documentary series on women.
She also worked as a medical and consumer reporter for This Morning on ITV, and more recently, the satellite channel Channel Health.
