Former Scotland international footballer and talkSPORT breakfast presenter Alan Brazil is to be reunited with long-time friend and foil Mike Parry.
In a new look for the station's flagship programme, Parry will return to the breakfast show on 14 August after a two-year absence due to heart problems.
After undergoing a heart transplant, Parry's physicians are only allowing him to do one day a week due to the "strain that working with Alan could place on his heart".
Mike "Porky" Parry said: "I've been raring to get back in the studio with Alan, but the doctors kept refusing to give the go-ahead, they said that my heart wasn't up to it. As the listeners will know, you need to be fighting fit if you want to square up to Alan in the debating stakes.
"It was only when the doctors were sure my heart could take the on-air arguments we're bound to have that they gave me the all clear and said I could go in the studio with him without the need to have an ambulance on stand-by."
Earlier this year Parry, received the Heritage Award for services to radio.
David Graham, director of The Heritage Foundation said: "Not only is [Parry] a great broadcaster whose efforts are appreciated by listeners and colleagues alike, but he has overcome a life-threatening heart problem which takes guts and determination."
