NWLN launches two more titles

By Press Gazette

North West London Newspapers has launched two new titles for London, a year after it started three others.

This year NWLN, part of Independent News & Media regional newspapers in the UK, is taking on well-established rivals the Camden New Journal and the Ham & High with the Camden Times and Westminster Times. Last January it launched the Hammersmith Times, Kensington Times and free Harrow & Sudbury Chronicle.

The two new papers will have print runs of 1,800 and 1,500. Shirley Kumar has been promoted to chief reporter and editor Tim Cole is about to appoint a deputy editor to supervise all newsdesk operations.

Kumar has been replaced as a senior reporter by Damian Pointon, who has had daily newspaper experience in Australia.
