New listings magazine for Kingston

By Press Gazette

Newsquest South London has launched Kingston Live, a free monthly listings magazine for Kingston on the south west outskirts of the capital.

The 48-page, B5 magazine is distributed free with Newsquest’s paid-for newspaper, the Surrey Comet, with a further 8,500 copies distributed to outlets such as cafés, nightclubs and gyms.

Newsquest brought in a number of sponsor partners to the project, including Kingston Council and the local arts council, but the company retains editorial control of the magazine to ensure consistency of style and content.

Editor-in-Chief Gloria Gray said: “It was a fantastic effort from all disciplines, with editorial, advertising and newspaper sales pulling out all the stops to get the magazine out on time.”
