Yorkshire Life editor Sarah Todd is leaving to go freelance.
Todd has spent nearly seven years at the magazine.
She said: “It has genuinely been the best job in the world.
Now I have two small children I decided the time was right to take the plunge and go freelance.”
After starting her career as an 18 year-old on the Scarborough Evening New s she worked for the Evening Press in York and the Yorkshire Post.
As a freelance, Todd, is planning to write about rural matters.
