Former Press Complaints Commission director Guy Black has joined Telegraph Group as corporate affairs director.
Black is leaving his current job as press secretary to Tory leader Michael Howard.
According
to Telegraph Group, he will work across all departments to “build the
Telegraph’s voice in the public arena” and will report directly to
chief executive Murdoch MacLennan. The newspaper will continue to use
external PR firm Brown Lloyd James.
MacLennan said: “Guy’s
experience at the highest levels of politics and of the newspaper
industry will be a great asset to the group. We are delighted he is
joining us.”
