The Press and Journal has recruited the group editor of free rival the Aberdeen Independent to be its assistant editor.
Jonathan Moore, who has been with the Independent since its launch more than seven years ago, said that the job was “too good an opportunity to turn down”.
Moore said: “It was a chance to move on to a paper that has got a fantastic history. It’s an area that has become my home and it’s great to be working for the recognised market leader in this part of the world.”
