Messenger’s programme dropped by BBC

By Press Gazette

The BBC is not recommissioning 4 x 4, the peaktime current affairs series fronted by former page-three girl Melinda Messenger. The series, which saw four reporters giving different angles on a story, was the corporation’s attempt at drawing in an audience for current affairs from people who don’t watch such programmes. A new replacement in the 7.30pm slot is likely to be announced next month.
