James Brown has signed up three new writers for men’s magazine Jack, including former Loaded deputy Michael Holden.
The appointments coincide with more content and up to 16 extra pages from Jack’s March issue.
Holden, a regular contributor to The Guardian, will increase his involvement with Jack and take on a new role of associate editor. “Many people felt Michael should have taken over from me as editor of Loaded years ago and I’m pleased to be working with him again,” said Brown.
Former Sky journalist Dan Davies has also joined the team as full-time commissioning editor and graduate David Whitehouse becomes a staff writer.
Davies was previously sports editor on the Sky Customer Magazine, produced by John Brown Citrus Publishing. Before that he was editor-in-chief of online sports network rivals.net and he worked on football magazine Goal.
Whitehouse, 21, has already won two national journalism awards run by The Times and the Evening Standard and has “tremendous potential”, said Brown.
