Robert Orr, 28, has been appointed financial services reporter at the Financial Times. He joined the paper in 1999 and has spent the last two years covering the financial services industry for FT.com.
Orr will now write for both the website and the newspaper, focusing mainly on insurance issues. He previously worked as a researcher for The Guardian.
FT financial editor Jane Fuller said: “Robert has just the right background for the job through his work for FT.com. He’s keen as mustard and although Jane Croft will be a hard act to follow, he should rapidly make his mark on the insurance beat – one of the hottest sectors around.”
