Farmers Guardian is hoping to extend its reach with the launch of an edition for the eastern counties.
Targeting farmers in Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex, it will focus on the latest developments, news and issues affecting their business.
Edited by Farmers Guardian editor Liz Falkingham, above, the title will be written by five regional journalists, with further input from Dominic Kilburn, editor-in-chief of sister title Arable and editor of Arable Farming.
Ninety per cent of the content is expected to be original although there will be a slight overlap with Farmers Guardian.
The launch follows the success of a south-west edition of Farmers Guardian in February 2003, which reaches 12,000 in the dairy farming region of the South West of England every week.
The eastern counties edition will have an average pagination of between 64 and 72 and a circulation of around 6,000.
