Andi Spicer has been appointed head of the editorial team at NewsPlus, a web based companion site for Dow Jones Newswires
Spicer takes over from Steve McGrath, who has become the assistant news editor for Newswires’ European technology, media and telecommunications team. Spicer joined Dow Jones Newswires in 1999 and was bureau chief in Johannesburg before transferring to London in 2003 to help launch the European version of NewsPlus.
He will be working with Carlos Dunn, who has been with the site since its launch in 2003, and Alex MacDonald and Matt Holgado, both graduates who have recently been recruited.
