Corbett to edit cricket website

By Press Gazette

Ted Corbett, whose 52 years in journalism include spells at the Daily Mirror, The Daily Telegraph and the Daily Star, has been made editor of the Cricket Writers’ Club website, www.cricketwritersclub.com, which launched this month.

Corbett said: “We have more than 300 members scattered across the globe and a website seemed the best way to keep them informed and make them feel wanted. I am sure there will be something for all of them on the site.”

Next month Corbett, who is 69 and still works for The Hindu and The Sportstar in India, will set off for his 35th tour in the past 23 years when England play four tests in the West Indies.

His partner, Jo King, who is statistician for Channel 4 during the summer, will also make the trip as scorer for TalkSpor
