London’s free business daily City AM has launched a mobile phone news bulletin service.
The “City M” mobizine will comprise of five stories from each one of four sections, breaking news, sport, lifestyle and The Capitalist and will be sent to subscribers of the service at 6PM each evening. At the bottom of each story a user will find links to other content. Once downloaded the bulletin can be viewed in areas without a signal or network connection, such as on London Underground.
CITY AM managing director Lawson Muncaster said: “We provide CITY A.M. readers news every morning, and now, with the launch of CITY M, readers can get the latest news every evening on their way home in a fast, accessible way, direct to their phones.”
He added: “CITY M is an additional service which enhances and complements the CITY PM podcast in the afternoon. Keeping up with the latest technology reflects the forward-thinking attitudes of CITY A.M. and also provides our advertisers another platform through which to reach consumers.”
