Brewery Greene King has offered a prize of £1,000 for Britain’s best beer writer or broadcaster.
Other prizes are available at the Beer Writer of the Year Awards for the best national, regional and trade journalists. A £1,000 travel bursary will be awarded to the best article on overseas beer matters.
A spokesman for the awards said: “Greene King and the British Guild of Beer Writers’ mission is to get the British media to write about beer.”
