Viz is to go on sale in more than 300 pubs across the UK following a deal with real ale brewers, writes Ruth Addicott.
Pubs in the North West of England and North Wales will sell Viz for the reduced price of £1 to those buying a pint of real ale. Viz advertising manager Anthony White said: “The alignment with real ale is no coincidence. Viz readers are essentially blokes in their 30s who spend a lot of time in pubs. Both real ale and Viz are quality products enjoyed by a relatively small proportion of the population.”
