DC Thomson has today launched a new children's magazine based on CBeebies programme Twirlywoos.
The publisher said the new 28-page title, aimed at boys and girls aged between two and four, will be "silly, fun and full of surprises".
It will include "innovative features encourage learning through play".
A press release said: "There are no right or wrong answers in Twirlywoos magazine – just the space for children to read, understand and respond on their own terms.
"The magazine features are engaging and silly, and the humour that underpins the show is evident throughout.
"The innovative pre-school magazine features kids’ favourites; colouring in, stickers and activities, and each issue comes with a fantastic Twirlywoos covermount gift."
In the first half of 2015, ABC audited 24 pre-school children's magazines. They recorded a combined circulation of 938,682, down 0.6 per cent year on year.
DC Thomson also publishes titles including The Beano, Oor Wullie, The Broons and Animals and You.
