Post unveils modern look

By Press Gazette

The new-look South Wales Evening Post has a bolder masthead and new type faces.

Spencer
Feeney, editor of the Swansea-based Northcliffe title said he wanted
the paper to look brighter and more modern in appearance without losing
its community feel or reducing the story count.

Peter Sands, of
The Editorial Centre, redesigned the paper. He has used Utopia Regular
as the main body text, the main headline font is Tempo Heavy Condensed,
with Helvetica used for contrast headlines with Utopia Bold text.

The
main advertisement on the front page has been re-shaped to run along
the bottom of the page rather than beside the main news story.
