Former News of the World editor Andy Coulson set for April perjury trial in Scotland

Former News of the World editor Andy Coulson (pictured, Reuters) is expected to face trial in Scotland on a perjury charge.

The former Downing Street director of communications, 47, is accused of committing perjury in the 2010 trial of former MSP Tommy Sheridan.

In a hearing at the High Court in Edinburgh yesterday, Judge Lord Burns set a date for a trial to begin on 21 April.
