Former soldier who sold information to newspaper escapes charges

A former soldier who sold information to a newspaper has been conditionally cautioned, the Crown Prosecution Service has said.

He will not be charged as long as he makes a £150 payment to a charity “connected with the armed services”.

The CPS received the “misconduct in public office” allegation file in November 2013.
