Future has launched a new monthly popular science magazine called Science Uncovered.
It is edited by former deputyy editor of Focus magazine Andrew Ridgway and the first issues comes out on 21 November, with an introductory price of £1. The regulary price will be £3.99 in print, and £2.49 for the digital edition.
Ridgway said: "Our formula is simple, in-depth coverage of science brought to life by some of the biggest names in science research and broadcasting. Our contacts with the science community will ensure that we’ll be covering the most important and fascinating breakthroughs.”
Contributors to the magazine include oceanographer Dr Helen Czerski, astronomer Mark Thompson, Maggie Philbin and 'thrill engineer' Brendan Walker.

Last year Bauer launched a major new monthly mag in the facual sector called Wonderpedia. It has a monthly sale of just under 20,000.
Established monthly popular science title Focus grew its sale by 3.5 per cent in the first half of this year to just under 67,000 copies a week.
